Do you yearn for the perfect British sea side holiday location?
You found it in this stretch of North Devon… Imagine living 200 yards from a spectacular coastal path with several beautiful, small, quiet beaches you can walk to straight from your base, seal spotting, surfing, cream teas, sunsets, golden beaches, rock pools, jolly Woolacombe seaside town a short drive away, fabulous pubs, sea shanties in the village which also has great fish and chips
This beauty – a short stroll from the caravan

This site is to help our friends and friends of friends who want a static caravan holiday at North Morte Farm Camping and Caravan Park. If you don’t know us and bumped into this website and like what you see, please contact us.
We’ve both travelled a lot and seen many wonderful coastal areas in UK and around the world, but have been drawn back to this site every year since 2008. When the chance came to own a caravan here for a few years, we jumped at it and are excited to now be able to visit this unique area several times a year.
The park is the only Devon & Cornwall site featured in the Sunday Times ‘Campsite our writers return to’ article. Search for the site anywhere and you will see it is very much loved and gets fantastic reviews. Find out more about the extra ordinary immediate and nearby local area and things you can do below or here

To offset our many hidden costs we are letting the caravan out at times, and we made this website to make it easy for people to find out all they need, to book, to know what to expect when they arrive, where to consider going and how to leave it.
We want to make using our caravan easy but this is a cost covering, not money making exercise for us. Our intention is to let to friends and friends of friends on a trust and goodwill basis. As in the way we have stayed in the old caravan here, we always left it cleaner than we found it, and were eager to re-visit

The caravan site is as good as it could be in itself but what makes a holiday here so special is the location location location. Here are some thoughts and pictures from us with links about the local area and things to do
Morte Point
…is a spectacular peninsula with Woolacombe bay on one side, and Rockham Beach on the other, Lundy island in view, seals seen daily at a certain place. A lot is grass with more stone towards the point which is wonderfully jagged.

Woolacombe
…is the ‘big city’ when coming from Mortehoe – plenty of seaside and surfing shops, variety of hotels and restaurants and a well stocked Londis. Also an amusement arcade etc. A great surfing centre with great RNLI safety and plenty of lessons. Body boarding also very popular. Check the surf height online easily
Barricane beach with a great cafe and Sri Lanka curries is a smaller alternative

Bennetts Mouth
…. Past Rockham beach and Bull point lighthouse, the path soon descends again towards Bennetts mouth – some shingle and rock pools and careful swimming from the rocks, you will probalby be the only party there. You can also get there through a delightful wooded valley.
Lee
…is a hamlet with no proper shops but a great pub, the Grampus Inn, a craft shop selling tea etc. There is no conventional beach but it is a special place to those that find it. You can also get stand up paddleboarding lessons!
Putsborough
Putsborough is a great well run more big sand beach the far end of Woolacombe bay – RNLI / surfing / great beach cafe
Baggy Point
Baggy point peninsular is a great walk and very dramatic at the end – a good walk between Putsborough and Croyde beaches
Croyde
Croyde gets higher surf than Woolacombe, the town is a mile or so back from the beach so very different but great to visit
Check out the Kings Arms in Georgeham too for gastro pub food
And more
I love cycling around the area and always bring my road bike as well as surf board & body boards
Ilfracombe is a good place to go for a change. You will see the magnificent statue Verity by Damien Hirst at the harbour. Take a boat from here to Lundy island for wildlife watching.
There is no shortage of activities for families and people of all ages all around. This page has just been a taste of some of ours. Come and find yours

Please go ahead and book here any of the weeks that show as available here. If you have any issues booking or really need to ask a question that isn’t answered on the site, contact us below OR text or WhatsApp your question to me on the number below. I’ll try and get back to you soonest

Happy domestic greetings from lovely No. xx!! Your coastal home is so beautifully clean, clear, homely, functional and well equipped! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ thank you Joy and Tim! Xxx k n j xxx
We really enjoyed our one week stay in Tim and Joy’s caravan. It is situated in a quiet location on this immaculate site. Most caravans have another in front or behind them but this is not the case here, backed by a hedge and a grassed area in front down to the drive which passes through the site.
There is a well stocked shop on site selling a variety of provisions and fresh bread every day. North Morte Farm has lovely walks in all directions and has its own access to the coastal path, which we made full use of. We were delighted to see seals basking on the rocks on our walk to Morte Point.
The caravan is well equipped throughout, it has good kitchen utensils, a full sized gas cooker and a decent sized fridge with freezer compartment. The shower is very good and there was always plenty of hot water. We enjoyed the outside decking area and this was fenced so our dog was safe. WiFi connection and speed was good.
Our holiday here in June was tranquil and we found lots to do and to explore close by.
Just back from three sunny days in and around your caravan. We don’t know that bit of the coast so nice to explore.
The caravan was well equipped and comfortable. Very few of the caravans were occupied, as you probably noticed last week , so the site was nice and quiet.
